Shark Anchor is a Mythical Sword introduced in Update 20. It looks exactly like its name implies—a massive, rusty anchor. It is famous for its incredible range, unique pull mechanics, and high damage, making it S-Tier for both PvP and Sea Events.

Unlike other swords, you cannot buy this. You must earn it by hunting the seas.

RequirementCrafting Monster Magnet & Hunting Terrorsharks

🔓 Step 1: Craft the Monster Magnet

You cannot get the Shark Anchor without this item.

1. Go to Tiki Outpost

In the Third Sea, head to the Tiki Outpost island.

2. Talk to the Shark Hunter

Find the NPC named Shark Hunter (near the docks). You can craft the Monster Magnet here.

3. Recipe Cost

This is a heavy grind. You need:

  • 2x Terror Eyes (Rare drop from Terrorsharks)
  • 8x Electric Wings (Piranhas in Danger Level 1-6)
  • 20x Fool’s Gold (Ghost Ships in Danger Level 1-6)
  • 10x Shark Teeth (Normal Sharks)

Note: You can only hold ONE Monster Magnet at a time. If you die to the Terrorshark, the magnet is consumed.

🦈 Step 2: The Anchor Terrorshark

With the Monster Magnet in your inventory:

  1. Sail to Danger Level 6: Go out to the rough seas (where the compass meter is ??? or 6).

  2. Wait for Spawn: Keep sailing until a Terrorshark spawns.

  3. Special Spawn: Because you have the magnet, there is a high chance this will be a special “Anchor Terrorshark”.

    • Visual: It looks like a normal Terrorshark but has the Shark Anchor weapon embedded in its chest/back.
    • HP: It has significantly more health (195,000 HP).
  4. Defeat It: Kill the Anchor Terrorshark.

  5. Drop: Upon death, you have a 100% chance to get the Shark Anchor sword.

⚖️ Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Crowd Control: The Z move is one of the best “hooks” in the game.
  • Range: Both moves have massive hitboxes.
  • Damage: Hits incredibly hard.
  • Visuals: Looks terrifying.

❌ Cons

  • Speed: It is slow. Fast players (Mink/Electric Claw) can interrupt you.
  • Grind: Crafting the Monster Magnet and hunting Level 6 seas takes hours.
  • Risk: Dying means losing your Magnet and having to craft it again.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get it without the Magnet?

No. Normal Terrorsharks never drop the sword. Only the specific Anchor variant drops it, and it only spawns if someone on the boat has the magnet.

Does everyone get the sword?

No. Only the player who dealt damage (and possibly the one with the magnet - confirming mechanics) gets the drop. It’s safest to do it solo or with friends who let you get the kill. Recent updates suggest only the magnet holder gets the drop priority.

Is it better than CDK?

It’s different. CDK is faster. Shark Anchor has more utility (pulling). If you like setups, Shark Anchor is better. If you like pure DPS, CDK wins.
